The events of the series are carried over into Superman (2025).. Series writer and creator James Gunn appears in the opening credits with a laptop typing a script. . Featured in the cast of AniMat’s Crazy Cartoon: The Return of the King (of the Hill) (2023).
Universe is promising & a welcome sight
What an entrance for the new regime at D. C. Studios. This first installment & introduction to the new D. C.
The story takes care of the characters & the animation is top notch
Speaking of animation, the new & “Tomorrow-verse” animation looked very cheap & flat, with no life to the animation style or story. D. C. AU great stories like: "Under the Red Hood", "Justice League: Dark" & "Superman: Judgment Day" set the standard for quality comic book animation. I collected all the animated films of that time & I wasn’t interested in Tomorrow’s Verse, due to lazy writing & lazy animated art.
The art style is fun & colorful & well drawn
But, Creature Commandos is a return to form for quality animation. I already care about the characters & the story is interesting. James Gunn is just starting this universe & making his upcoming projects highly anticipated. The new Superman movie is definitely on my watch list. Back to the series, it’s only 2 episodes, but the anticipation & connection to the characters is there..
